ECC Caring Community and Emergency Kit

Dear Parents,

I want to tell you about our ECC Caring Community, which is a wonderful tradition we have here at the Leo Baeck Temple Early Childhood Center. The Caring Community is organized by the ECC Parents’ Group and helps other ECC families in times of great joy and great need throughout the school year. The money raised by your contributions will go into a fund which will be used to purchase meals for families celebrating a new arrival, experiencing the loss of a loved one, or any time of need.  The fund will also be used to purchase special gifts for the big brother or sister in the ECC when a new baby enters the family and to support the Committee’s ongoing activities.

We ask that every family contribute $35 per child towards this fund. You may also volunteer to work with the ECC Parents’ Group in support of our ECC Community.

Thank you for your participation!

FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY:

As part of our Emergency Preparedness procedures, we request that you make a onetime purchase of a Student Emergency Kit.  This kit contains the necessary items to sustain 1 person for 3 days. It comes in a resealable plastic bag and is designed to meet the needs of your child.  The cost is $30.00 and it contains the following:

Food bar, 2,400 calorie

Water boxes, 8.45 oz. ea.

Emergency blanket

Light stick

Wet wipes

The emergency kit has a five year shelf life. You only have to purchase it once while your child attends the ECC and you can take it with you upon graduation.

Additional food, water and first aid are centrally located in our Early Childhood Center.

Thank you for your cooperation!
